Our school board is dedicated to fostering an environment where every student can achieve academic excellence and personal growth in a safe and supportive setting.

As elected representatives of our community, we are committed to making informed decisions that shape the future of our schools. Our responsibilities include:

  • Policy Development: Crafting and implementing policies that promote high educational standards and equity.
  • Budget Oversight: Ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support student learning and well-being.
  • Superintendent Supervision: Collaborating with and providing oversight for the Superintendent to ensure the district's strategic goals are met.
  • Curriculum and Instruction: Evaluating and approving curricula that meet the diverse needs of our students and prepare them for future success.
  • Facilities Management: Overseeing the maintenance and improvement of school facilities to provide a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation from parents, students, teachers, and community members to foster a collaborative educational community.

As elected representatives of the Sterling community, our board members work to make informed, student-centered decisions that guide the future of our district. Our responsibilities include:

Policy Development:
Creating and implementing policies that uphold high academic standards, promote equity, and reflect the values of the Sterling community.

Budget Oversight:
Ensuring district resources are used responsibly and effectively to support student learning, staff needs, and overall well-being.

Superintendent Support & Oversight:
Working closely with the Superintendent to ensure our district’s goals are met and that Sterling Public Schools continues moving in a positive, strategic direction.

Curriculum & Instruction:
Reviewing and approving curriculum that meets the diverse needs of Sterling students and equips them for success beyond graduation.

Facilities & Operations:
Overseeing the maintenance and improvement of school buildings and grounds to ensure a safe, welcoming, and productive learning environment.

Community Engagement:
Encouraging open communication and strong partnerships with parents, students, staff, and community members. The success of Sterling Public Schools is rooted in the support of our town and the families we serve.

Our mission is simple: to support every Sterling student in reaching their fullest potential by prioritizing safety, academic excellence, and meaningful opportunity in every decision we make.

All parents, students, staff, and community members are welcome to attend Sterling Public Schools Board of Education meetings in person.

In Person:
Meetings are held in the Sterling High School Library, located on the Sterling Public Schools campus.

Agendas:
Meeting agendas are posted at the High School office door and on the bulletin board outside the Superintendent’s office for public viewing.
